The world today is defined by technology, so technological knowledge for teachers is key to becoming a better educator. Using technology in eduacion helps teachers to bring the topic being presented in a new and interesting way, instead of just a boring lecture that students fall asleep to. The teachers that do not use technology for education either are great speakers and are able to keep the attention of the students, or they, and the material being presented, are boring and no one pays attention. It is the teachers who use computers, televisions, movies, and music who are able to keep the students attentive and interested in the lesson. It is helpful for student's to see the information in a different way than just in lecture style because it will help them to see the information in a form that is easy for them to understand, in a technological way! Students of the technological age easily understand how to use technology, so learning from it would be the best way for them to learn. Teachers need to learn about all types of technology so that they can bring the information across to their students, and therefore bring about the best education that they can!

ReplyDeleteLydia, This is a great response..."mixin" technology will definitely appeal to young learners, especially when done in a fun and interactive way! You're right when you say students and teachers need to learn new technology advances to be prepared for whatever circumstance they can. Technology is so important and I think you will do a great job incorperating it into the classroom!!!
